Sony's Mylo

17761 Sony's Mylo (short for "My Life Online") a cute handheld communicator missing several key features. It makes phone calls, but it doesn't connect to cell-phone networks - rather, it uses SkypeOut over Wi-Fi, which it could be awesome except that Wi-Fi isn't exactly pervasive in the universe. More oddly, it's designed for instant messaging but doesn't support AIM, the dominant instant messaging system in several universes. It's got great Web browsing (with Opera) but, once again, you have to be within a Wi-Fi hotspot. If you are wondering what is Sony's getting at with this gadget, join the club...

i-care

Icare_1 These are so cute!! This lovely cellies comes from Guidetek Technology of China, and they are designed for 3 year olds to 10 year olds! Too bad it is only available in Taiwan, so if any of you is planning on going there, bring me one of this cute i-care cell phones!
It has 4 speed dial buttons for sending pre programmed messages and a side key pad is reserved for emergencies.
The i-care K3300 can also monitor sounds in the surrounding area, and has a talk time of 1.5 hs and 160 hs standby. What i really would like to know is what a 3 year old have to say over a cellie? Will he be calling his friends to throw a party? :)

Just for Granny!

Senior We have cell phones for kids, for teenagers, for woman, for sports fans... but what about for our grandparents?
Samsung has developed  Jitterbug, a much simpler cellie, easier to read and larger buttons. It also comes with personalized services that includes an easier way to retrieve messages, a live operator and toll free secure access to a personal phone list from any phone. It is a cool idea, since grandpas are usually left outside new technologies, and with the small text and gazillion options menus that we are used to handle on new cell phones, they are not to comfy to use them, but now they can!
So, now you now your next X-mas gift for Granny!
